Kotor Kashyyyk Star Map Test
Login FormPopular Tags<A href="mcehref="Widgets</A>. KashyyykWritten by Old-Republic.comThursday, 14 August 2008Kashyyyk is the wookie homeworld. I actually prefer to finish Kashyyyk first,as it saves me a lot of running around on Tatooine; not to mention, there'snever any reason to return here unless you are doing the.Czerka Landing Port. Ebon Hawk. If you have already completed Tatooine, (and didn't kill yourkrayt-dragon-killing-ally), you will meed Komad Fortuna right after leavingthe ship.
I'm not sure this leads to anything. Exit to Great Walkway. Eli Gand and Matton Dasol. Eli is a merchant and Matton is currently servinga debt to Eli. Seems Matton's friends ran off and left him owing a largesum to Eli. Eli is 'employing' his services as a mechanic in payment of thedebt. Czerka office.
Jun 02, 2016 This mod aims to restore as much content as possible that was cut out of Bioware's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The K1R 1.2 OFFICIAL may NOT be redistributed in any way without the explicit permission of the K1R team and the proper credit given.Restored 'Impossible Difficulty' to the game.Restored the majority of Juhani's cut dialog.
You can buy weapons here.Great WalkwayThis is an extremely irritating area. Besides being very long, you can't transitback to Ebon Hawk. Meaning you'll be hoofing it over this area a fewtimes while dealing with respawning kinraths and mykals. Exit to landing port. You'll be attacked by forest kinraths (spider-typecreatures) as you leave the landing port. A small group of guards has just put a wookie 'down'. Let Zaalbarexpress to them his displeasure.
Nearby is a damaged sentry droid.Repair it andsend it on patrol to help keep the kinrath population down. Exit to Village of Rwookrrorro. Lift down to Shadowlands. You have to go to Rwookrrorro first and get permissionfrom Chuundar to go to the Shadowlands. There are some locked storage bins here. A passcard taken off the patrolcaptain at (B) used in the console will unlock the bins.
Or you can slicethe computer to unlock the bins (takes a fairly large number of spikes ifyour skill is low). It might also be possible to open the locks on the boxesdirectly, but none of the characters I tried (including Mission and T3-M4both with max Security skill) have ever been able to open them.
The first time through this point, you will be ambushed by three dark Jedi.RwookrrorroWhen you first attempt to enter here, you will be taken to an audience withthe new chieftan, Chuundar-Zaalbar's runt brother. He will take Zaalbar prisoner(whether he is in your party or not) and tell you the only way to free himis to kill an insane wookie running about the Shadowlands. Since the Shadowlandsis where you want to go, agree to do this. The village is a 'safe' spot, andyou can transit in and out of here at need. Exit to Great Walkway. Chieftan's Hall. Home of Woorwill.
Woorwill is looking for Rorworr, who has gone missing. Holder of the LawsUpper ShadowlandsThe Upper Shadowlands are teeming with large beasts called katarn as wellas kinraths. Just watch your step.
Lift up to Great Walkway. If Kashyyyk is your first stop (i.e.
You haven'trecovered any other Star Maps yet) you will meet Calo Nord and a couple ofwookie cronies when you first step off the lift. This is a bit of a frustratingfight because you can't buff up before coming down the lift (the journeytakes so long, all your shields/stims wear off). If you have collected atleast two Star Maps, you'll encounter Darth Bandon down here; and he is asignificantly tougher fight. Your best bet for both of them is trying tofreeze them in place with adhesive grenades and then have all party memberslob damaging grenades for a couple of rounds to take their health down abit. Then close in and finish them off. You'll meet Jolee Bindo after he has dispatched four katarn single-handedly.He'll then order you to follow him to his camp before he will tell you anythingelse. You'll find a wookie corpse that is the dear, departed Rorworr.
Apparently,Rorworr was engaged in selling fellow wookies to the slavers. Won't thatmake Woorwill happy!
Also alongside the body is a bowcaster bolt casing thatwill help identify Rorworr's killer. Take these items to the Holder of theLaws in Rwookrrorro and he'll identify the casing as belonging to Jaarak,Woorwill's friend. Jaarak wants to sacrifice himself rather than let Woorwillknow Rorworr was dealing with slavers. It's up to you whether you let himdo that. Jolee's camp. Jolee will help you reach the Star Map, but first you haveto remove some poachers from the area.
Jolee prefers they not be killed. The poacher's camp. The non-violent solution is to persuade at least twosentries to shut down their sonic emitters. Once they are shut down, a beastiewill chase the poachers away. Of course, there is always the violent solutionas well.
After they are gone, loot their supplies for tach glands, whichyou can give to Griff on Tatooine to complete the Mission's Brother quest. You'll find the remains of a broken droid here. It will let you know Matton'scompanions did not desert him, they were bushwhacked by Eli.IMPORTANT. Youmust return to the landing port and deal with this now or forever hold yourpeace.
Well, actually, if you follow the dark path in dealing with Chuundar, you'll still be able to finish this quest later. But, you may not know whichway you're going to go at this point, so head on back up, walk the Walkwayand let Matton deal with Eli. You might want to head over to the village, deal with Rorworr's death and then transit back to the port to take careof Eli. If you're performing the, you'll find Rulanhere.Lower Shadowlands.
Exit to Upper Shadowlands. Grrrwahrr (yes, that's spelled correctly) is fighting for his life againstthree Mandalorians. If you choose to heal him, he'll tell you of his troublesand ask for vengeance. Plus you get Light Side points.
Dark Side points ifyou tell him to bugger off. Bodies of Grrrwahrr's hunting party. Approach these areas, power up (shields/stims)and then un-equip your weapons. Mandalorian raiders will de-stealth (or un-stealth,or.eh, whatever) and attack you. Once you have killed both parties, youshould find a datapad on one that will allow you to complete the final portionof this quest. Swoop bikes.
Use the datapad found on one of the other Madalorians to re-activatethe homing signal on the one working bike, then get ready to rumble withthe big guy. Afterwards, return to Grrrwahrr to receive your reward. Ritual marker. As you enter this cul-de-sac, you'll encounter some viperkinraths that actually leave behind a body. Collect one body and enter thisarea.
Read the ritual stone then 'use' a vine to attach a viperkinrath corpse. Wait for terentatek to appear. Have fun.(force powers arealmost useless against them; although, Jolee once managed to put it in stasis).Collect a broken sword blade and a journal from the'tatek'ssteaminghusk. Star Map. There's a working computer attached to this one, and it wantsto know if you match the requirements of those allowed to see the map. Givingappropriate dark side answers will help you pass the test (and earn DarkSide points). Answering incorrectly will force you to fight some assaultdroids.
After defeating them, the system will let you see the map. If Kashyyykis your last Star Map, all the preceeding nonsense doesn't happen. The computergives you the Star Map by default.
Freyyr, Zaalbar and Chunndar's father, is the 'insane' wookie Chuundarwants killed. The dark path is to kill Freyyr and return the sword of Baccato Chuundar to legitimize his chiefhood. The light path is to help Freyyrout and return to the lift to the Walkway; events will move you right alongto the point of all'outsiders' (with the exception of your wonderful self) being thrown offKashyyyk.
Kashyyyk WalkthroughSite NavigationShrine NavigationKashyyyk: The Shadowlands RisingExcluding side-quests Kashyyyk may be the shortest planet of all of them. That doesn't mean however that it is the easiest. Usually I do Kashyyyk second right after Tatooine. Anways just like Tatooine, upon arriving upon Edean you will be required to pay a docking fee of 100 credits, and as before if you have a few ranks in persuade, or affect mind you can wave that fee. Again there is no impact to your alignment in any case.
At several locations on Kashyyyk Zaalbar will initiate conversation with you about his past. If he isn't with you one of your companions will bug you about including him in your party.
The reality however is that it doesn't matter in any case as you are forced into his side quest in order to proceed.Anyways since there obviously isn't a starmap in the treetops you have no choice but to make it down into the Shadowlands. Head east to the Great Walkway and proceed forward. Mind the mines as well as the Czerka patrol.
The Czerka won't attack on sight, but you can easily provoke them into one if you wish, for LSP or DSP depending on how you go about it. For more details.Once past them if you attempt to go south to the basket down to the Shadowlands you will be stopped by a guard Wookie that won't let you pass. This leaves you with no choice but to go toward the Village of Rwookrrorro. Again mind the Dark Jedi right outside the entrance of the village. Unprepared they can do some damage, so make sure you buff up your entire party before confronting them.Once past the Sith, approach the guard in front of the village gate to be taken to see Chuundar automatically.
You may want to unequip Zaalbar of all of his stuff before doing this as he will remain unavailable until you finish the Chieftain in Need side-quest. In any case talk to Chuundar and he will tell you to kill a crazed Wookie in the Shadowlands. There are no conversation choices here that affect anything so say whatever you wish.Once your audience with him is over you will be escorted out and won't be able to return until later. You'll gain 225 XP for getting rid of Zaalbar. Now you have free access to both the Village as well as the Shadowlands. At this point you actually never have to return to meet Chuundar again, nor do you have to finish his request. However if you do that Zaalbar will remain unavailable for the rest of the game and you miss out on all the XP as well as Bacca's Blade, the best melee weapon you can get outside of the Yavin Station.Anyways now that you're in the village you can pick up several quests here though you won't be able to complete them yet.
Move back out to the Great Walkway and head south fighting the Kinrath on the way.Once you near the southern platform you will notice three Wookies fighting the Kinrath there. Join in the fun and once defeated one of them (Chorrawl) will talk to you.
You can ask him some questions if you wish, but nothing important comes of this conversation. Just keep moving south and you will see Gorwooken standing next to the basket down. Just get on the basket or talk to him to go down into the Shadowlands. At this point you may bump into Calo Nord or Darth Bandon if you have seen their cutscene. Unfortunately you won't have any time to prepare for them as dialog is initiated immediately upon arriving in the Shadowlands, so this isn't an ideal location to fight them. For strategies on dealing with these idiots see my 'Big Bads' page on or.Once these guys are taken care of or if you didn't meet them here continue forward, fighting the Katarn as you go and you will meet Jolee. Once he takes off you can explore the entire map before talking to him again, but as you have to talk to him to proceed forward anyways just go ahead and follow him to his little hut. Once there he will have a request for you: remove the poachers. There are actually three ways of dealing with this situation.
Neutral: Talk to an emitter guard and get the code to turn off the Czerka sonic device. Don't bribe him as persuasion always works unless your charisma is less than 10. If it is just cast force valor and you should be fine. Turn off two emitters and trigger a cut-scene where the poachers are chased off by the Ritual Beast. Dark: Either talk to Commander Dern and piss him off twice to have him and his guards attack you OR talk to one of the guards and threaten them once for the same result. Wipe them off the face of the planet.
Really Dark: You'll need Dominate mind to do this one. Talk to any guard and have him abandon his post. The first time will requires you have affect mind, while from the second guard on you'll need Dominate Mind. You get DSP for each guard you persuade to leave. Once there are no guards left Commander Dern will leave. No matter which option you chose you'll gain 500 XP for removing the Poachers. You can actually do a mix and match of the three options above for some interesting results. For example you can persuade all but one guard to leave (thus killing them off) after which you turn off the second emitter.
After this Jolee will still not 'sense the smell of death' on you despite the fact that you killed most of them off. The way to get the most DSP is to cause all but one guard to leave after which you can piss off Commander Dern for another bunch of DSP. Anyways after taking care of those idiots, return to Jolee to have him join your party for 400 XP and proceed forward and enter the Lower ShadowlandsNow that you are here in the Lower Shadowlands you can finally complete the remaining side-quests available on Kashyyyk. Move forwards and you'll see a couple of Mandalorians attacking a Wookie.
Helping the Wookie will net you LSP but is the only way to get the 'Hidden Hunter's' Sidequest. Anyways no matter how you deal with that situation proceed forward to the southwestern most corner of the map killing any opposition along the way. There are a couple of mines near the Star Map so watch out once you get close.Talk to the Star Map computer for information and to gain access to the Map.
However before you are able to access the Star Map itself you will need to pass an evaluation set in place. If you have finished the Leviathan you automatically pass the evaluation and thus have free access to the Star Map, however if not you will be asked as series of questions that both reveal and affect your alignment. For a more detailed look at your dialog options. Note that you can at any time after the first question reject the evaluation and automatically fail without gaining any DSP or LSP. A basic overview is outlined below:.
The prisoner's gambit, pitting you against Zaalbar. If you both stay silent you both get 1 year.
If you both accuse each other you both get 2 years. If one accuses the other, then the accused gets 5 years and the other gets none. The correct answer is that you don't trust him and that you'll accuse him. You'll gain a small amount of DSP for this answer. The incorrect answer here does nothing.
You can still proceed with the evaluation but you won't get any LSP for the good answer. What will you do in a war where you can either defend one of your cities at the cost of being able to attack a key one of theirs or vice versa. Supreme commander forged alliance mods total mayhem. The correct answer is to not defend and to attack their city.
